Many who are first will be last, and the last first.

Matthew 19:30 "But many who are first will be last, and the last first"

Prior to this verse, the disciples asked Jesus of who will be saved. Jesus said that all who followed him, everyone who has dare to leave his house, his family or his great possessions, for His sake, will receive hundredfold and eternal life.

And this verse followed.

Product of Eid Mubarak - Recycled Old Trolley into Laptop Table and Bookshelf

Surely everyone is happy because of long Eid holiday. I will not explain what is Eid holiday... Google knows it. :P Some went out of town, mostly on the beach/resort. Some took the chance to be like "Dora the Explorer" by crossing the border. But me, I chose to be KJ and did not go anywhere. My original plan is to do my technical paper, but I guess I need more push to do that. 'Am not sure what and how to start.... my scratch is still plain and clean till now. :P

Yesterday, I was left alone here in our room, so I decided to do my long time ago mission in our balcony: that is to clean and make some space for our clothes' hanging rod. I threw all the dusty things that been stocked there except for one. I found this rusty trolley:

Rusty frames
Cleaned  Food Trolley

Broken glass

I supposed to throw it as well because... obviously its not good to put it inside the room. But.. but... but... I have an idea. I just need to go out and buy a AED2.50 glue stick.
2009 food mag, scissors and glue stick
I decided to wrap it with old magazine (good thing I have one!).
Screenshot of first part
When I finished the first part, I realized it's not easy as it seemed! It's very tedious! So patiently... while watching "Eat Bulaga, Amaya and Munting Heredera" in http://www.pinoy-ako.info/ (thanks God, they are all youtube format!) through iphone. After 6 hours, I finished wrapping the frames. I thought something else for the broken glass. Good thing again, I have an extra box under my bed ( I took it from our office, I use it as shoe box.. hihihihi!). I cut it and used as base/frame of the accent.
Empty box from our office :P
Dyaaraaan! here's the finished product!

My new collection... Recycled WRApPAHMAG Multi-use Trolley!
I maybe dont have pics of any escapades to post in FB like many did but I can say that my Eid did not go in vain! :D

I Am Joseph in Genesis 39!

Why??? Read itBOLDLY.

1 Now Joseph had been taken down to Egypt. Potiphar, an Egyptian who was one of Pharaoh’s officials, the captain of the guard, bought him from the Ishmaelites who had taken him there.
2 The LORD was with Joseph so that he prospered, and he lived in the house of his Egyptian master. 3 When his master saw that the LORD was with him and that the LORD gave him success in everything he did, 4 Joseph found favor in his eyes and became his attendant. Potiphar put him in charge of his household, and he entrusted to his care everything he owned. 5 From the time he put him in charge of his household and of all that he owned, the LORD blessed the household of the Egyptian because of Joseph.

Why Bible has so MANY Versions?

When I had a discussion with my colleague who is Muslim, about the bible, he asked me why christian bible has so many versions? Compare to Muslim which is only one. I didn't answered, for honestly, I only knew few and KJV is the most popular among them all.

Amazing Grace

What is LOVE??

1 Corinthians 13
The Greatest Gift
1 Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I have become sounding brass or a clanging cymbal.
2 And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing.
3 And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned,[a] but have not love, it profits me nothing.
4 Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up;
5 does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil;
6 does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth;
7 bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
8 Love never fails. But whether there are prophecies, they will fail; whether there are tongues, they will cease; whether there is knowledge, it will vanish away.
9 For we know in part and we prophesy in part.
10 But when that which is perfect has come, then that which is in part will be done away.
11 When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child; but when I became a man, I put away childish things.
12 For now we see in a mirror, dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part, but then I shall know just as I also am known.
13 And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is -------------------------.>>>

Conflict and Confusion

January 12, 2009

I can't help to smile while reading this.... its been a while...

I am in state of dilemma. For I thought I already know my capacity in handling conflict situations. I do actually, except for one thing that I cant handle very well… which I’m still “gaga” when it comes to it.
I was not shaken when I am being laid-off in our project. I gave it to the Lord, for I hold on His words, I hold on his promises. I know that He has plan for me (Jeremiah 29:11). So I didn’t mind if I was one of those whom affected by what we so called “global crisis”, I didnt mind if I have so many dues to pay, cause I know all God’s works are  good with those who love Him, those whom he has called according to his purpose (Roman 8:28). I know God will provide.

Well, that is ok. But prior to that, I did something against God’s will. I broke somebody’s heart. And now I’m starting to break mine. I thought I already surrender ALL to the Lord. But I still did silly things. The guilt is within me because I know its wrong, I shouldn’t.. but I did. Its true that the more you want to be obedient in God’s law, the more you are prone to commit sin.  I remember the Romans 7:15 says: “I do not understand what I do, for I dont do what I would like to do, but instead I do what I hate.”  It is manifesting now on me. The evil is chasing me by using my heart, for that is the part I cant handle properly. Its like I’m playing a tug-of-war, but my opponent is no other than but myself too. The guilt is more because I know it will not please God if I do it, if I will choose to proceed for my own sake of happiness… if I can call it “happiness”.
Its quite funny because that sin is still just a temptation . Its quite funny because its only I, who is confused, bothered and struggled. I am ahead of the problem which is about to arise.

I want to lift it up to the Lord… so help me God.

Be not Selfish!

When we do planning, we always put ourselves first on the list, because we believe that no one can make our life better but us. But it will not work if we will be a self-centered person. Any success will not satisfy us if we will keep it to ourselves and not share to those who need it. Consideration to others should take place in any decision we make.

Same thing when it comes to any relationship. It should takes two in every decision, but what if you’re both in different sides? Who will follow? What if other wants to go and other wants to stay? Leaving someone doesnt mean that you are inconsiderate because before you come out to one relationship its not just a one click. Being fair is what you always wanted but it may never be like that to the person who will receive goodbye. Its not easy to comprehend and letting go is the hardest thing to do. Once we have in our hand the one that we really love, we dont want to lose it and we dont want to take it by others. We will keep it and close it to our fists as long as we can… without knowing that we already victim of self-centeredness. Thats why when the time comes that we have to open our hand and let it free… its a big NO. Who can bear to lose something very special?? To give up and let go something/someone special is not a cowardice but rather a manifestation that we can accept what is meant and not meant for us. No matter we like one thing but without God’s grace, it’ll never be for us. God will give what we really need and not what we WANT.

Jesus Teaches about Loving Enemies

Jesus Teaches about Loving Enemies

LUKE 6

27 “But if you are willing to listen, I say, love your enemies. Do good to those who hate you.

28 Pray for the happiness of those who curse you. Pray for those who hurt you.

29 If someone slaps you on one cheek, turn the other cheek. If someone demands your coat, offer your shirt also.

30 Give what you have to anyone who asks you for it; and when things are taken away from you, don’t try to get them back.

31 Do for others as you would like them to do for you.

32 “Do you think you deserve credit merely for loving those who love you? Even the sinners do that!

33 And if you do good only to those who do good to you, is that so wonderful? Even sinners do that much!

34 And if you lend money only to those who can repay you, what good is that? Even sinners will lend to their own kind for a full return.

35 “Love your enemies! Do good to them! Lend to them! And don’t be concerned that they might not repay. Then your reward from heaven will be very great, and you will truly be acting as children of the Most High, for he is kind to the unthankful and to those who are wicked.

36 You must be compassionate, just as your Father is compassionate

Thank you LORD

June 7, 2008.. when I got my third job. :)

I just want to thank GOD for all the blessings, for the guidance, for the LOVE.
Its a tiring day for me today coz I’m back to circulation… work+ extra curricular activities. I have to wake up again early in the morning… everyday. I have to wait and ride bus again to go to work. I have to take my lunchbox everyday. I have to adjust again with my new colleagues and new environment. But all these adjustments didn’t bothered me that much and not hard for me to do, because my found old"FRIEND" helped me to go through with easiness.

What made me happy about this is during the time that I am "idle" and a little bit down, HE showed me to where and to whom should I run and asked help. HE sent people who will bring me to HIM. When I chose to give up something that I used to, when I asked for something better, HE didn’t gave it to me in one click.
Losing something that you used to have is not that easy. Quitting on my previous job is one example. When I resigned, I was actually half-hearted, in a sense that… though I know that there is a new job waiting for me, I cannot taken for granted the years that I’d been in former company. Within that years, not only that I gained knowledge on my work, but I gained some "true friends"… and for me, its like.. no like other than them. But there were circumstances happened that I cannot taken also for granted, which I felt so offended, which somehow, I doubt my ability and asked myself why? which caused me to become less productive and lousy, which made me feel the anger everytime I see some persons that I hate, which pushed me to withdraw my contract.

But  what you expect is not what always happen. When I finished my notice period of resignation, and joined the new company, it lasted for only… guess what???? ONE DAY. What I thought about the company didnt match with the reality.. But the reality is also there.. reality that the first impression is not always last. Instead of taking it negatively, I just assumed that maybe it was not really meant for me to be there, that there is better than that and GOD is preparing it for me, and He’s preparing me  as well. I prayed for it, and true to its word… that IF YOU BELIEVE AND HAVE FAITH, YOUR PRAYER WILL BE HEARD AND GRANTED.

I had some trials further than that before HE finally gave it to me. He tested me on how to decide and he gave me a chance to choose what I really want. As they say, WHAT YOU GET IS WHAT YOU PROCLAIM. When I received a call for interview, and as soon as I hung up the phone, I proclaimed that " I will get the job on Monday"..just to lift up my hope, because I already had some interviews and if Im going to count how many email applications that I sent.. maybe 100 or more?  But sometimes, GOD is a sweet joker. When I said "Monday", HE didn’t gave it the same day that I presumed. Instead, HE gave it… one day ADVANCE. and what made me feel happier…. I’m enjoying what I’m doing now  and I’m into the field that I really want to.. even before. :D

"Have no fear on sudden disaster or of the ruin that overtakes the wicked, for the LORD will be your confidence, and keep your foot from being snared"

Seven Wonders of Prayer

Way back year 2006...

I read it somewhere in the internet. Good thing  I blogged it. It's a good reference for those who ask: "Why do I have to Pray?"

The seven wonders of prayer
GUIDELINES FOR FINDING YOUR WAY By Dr. Harold J. Sala
The Philippine Star 09/17/2006

"Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need." – Hebrews 4:16
You have probably heard of the Seven Great Wonders of the Ancient World which includes the following: The Pyramids of Egypt, built 1,000 years before baby Moses floated on the Nile; the Hanging Gardens of Babylon; the great Temple of Diana in the city of Ephesus; the Statue of Jupiter on the Parthenon of Athens; the Mausoleum at Halicarnassus on the Aegean; the Colossus at Rhodes; and the Pharos or the great Lighthouse of Alexandria.
In 1926, Dr. Henry W. Frost suggested that there are Seven Great Wonders of Prayer, no less outstanding than the Seven Great Wonders of the Ancient World. Let’s look at what he identified.
Wonder #1. You as a mortal can approach this great God in prayer. Until World War II was over, Japanese people had never heard their emperor’s voice. They would never have considered speaking to him. Yet God said, "Call to me and I will always answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know (Jeremiah 33:3).
Wonder #2. You may address God with simplicity in ordinary conversation. There are levels of intimacy and formality. To speak to your superior as you would your best friend would be insulting, yet God’s Son encourages us to come to Him saying, "Our Father who is in heaven…" and tell Him of our needs.
Wonder #3. You can pray for definite needs. The thief on the cross knew exactly what he wanted and cried, "Lord, remember me when You come into Your kingdom!" Like the old spiritual which goes, "Not my father, not my mother, but it’s me, O Lord, standing in the need of prayer," he voiced a specific request and a personal one.
Wonder #4. You can pray anywhere. Anywhere? Not just in the temple or a church or a place of religious worship? Some pray in prison. Paul was in a dungeon when he prayed. Some pray in their closet, some as they drive to work, some as they do housework. Prayer knows no distance; thus, I can pray for a friend in Manila or Russia as though I were by the person’s side.
Wonder #5. You can pray about everything that is of concern to you. Paul urged the Philippines, "Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God" (Philippians 4:6). Personally, this wonder greatly encourages me. "Everything" is all inclusive–little things, big things, irritations, and celebrations. I can come to God about whatever I do or whatever consumes my interest.
Wonder #6. You can be in constant touch with God through prayer. That’s the force of 1 Thessalonians 5:17 which says simply, "Pray continually!" You can maintain an awareness of God, the realization that He is as close as your sigh: "Lord, what do I do now?" As a friend put it, you never close the circuit by saying, "Amen!" meaning, "I’ll be back next Sunday; God, until then, bye!"
Wonder #7. You may pray with boldness and confidence. Hebrews 4:16 says, "Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need." The King James text says, "Let us come boldly …" Answered prayer is based on the relationship of a child with his/her Father, and because of that, we may cry, "Abba, Father!"
Yes, the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World are awesome and marvelous, but of great awe and wonder is the fact we can touch God through prayer.

FORGIVEness

Written last September 12, 2005

Why is it so hard to forgive someone???
Can you forgive and forget without even asking for it?
How long it will take to grant forgiveness?
How many times will you forgive??
