Yup! We are on our short visit to Philippines to arrange our docs and other errands for our wed preps. Now we are here in Doha international airport waiting to board. Our flight is 4:00 am and Lloyd dropped us here @ 1:00 am (almost 2 hours ago). I got board whilst trying not to fall asleep so I decided to write our journey. The pictures will tell the story.

Mini Prenup @ ASAS Tower Qatar
This mini prenup is already a long overdue. It was taken last March 17, 2012.
I started to work permanently in Qatar last February. On the same month, Bhabha proposed to wed (click here for details). Because I'm just new in Qatar I have a limited of friends and just starting to build up with my colleagues and so blessed to have them. Why? Because when they knew that I'll be getting married, they allowed us to share the photoshoot which supposedly for my colleague Minnie David only. We had an impromptu mini prenup at our accommodation in ASAS Twin Tower, less than a month after the proposal. No props, no makeups, no planned get-up. We're like just playing! We felt so blessed and.... Excited lang! hahaha!
Thanks to our friendly photographers: Master Ozki, Kuya Gil, Kuya Rey, Kuya Henrik, Kuya Jun (and wifey as lighting assistant) and Kalabog ! Yes.. we had 6 photographers! Take note that they dont do it for living... its exclusively for their passion in photography. We had so much fun. I realized that its not easy to do and Bhabha was so shy! Maybe because we've just met them at the same day... err.. night!
Though, I didn't get all the copies from each of them but few edit pics only. So most of the post pics here are unedited or edited by yours truly with the help of tutorial online and Adobe photoshop CS5. Please bear with my edits. :D
Kuya Rey promiseD me to do an outdoor prenup on winter season! I'm looking forward to it. :D

Theme and Motif
What else but my ultimate favorite color.... purple! hihihihi!
But a tribute to my dearest sister's Spalicious... I'll add golden accent to it. And I think its not bad but actually a REGAL effect.
I dont have a definite theme. At first, I want to have an encantadia/fairy tale theme (and I'll be cinderella! hehehe) but I dont like a balloon type gown.. so scratch being cinderella. I'm also thinking a Victorian theme..
But one thing for sure... I want a garden wedding, which ceremony starts at afternoon till a romantic evening reception....
I did a thorough research of what peg/style I like (its always "I"... because bhabha said... "whatever" you like and will make you happy.. mafih mushkila, suportahan taka!... nokkks!)
and I found these....
What to Wear: Bridal Gown
*** W E D D I N G G O W N ***
Choosing the bride's gown is the hardest part. Though it's just a one day... but it's a BIG time once in a life time event. As there's no guarantee to have a second wedding when we reach our golden days together.
Because I'm quite tall, ate Clarissa - my classmate's sister which happened.. my sister's bestfriend too, thought that mermaid cut would be fit for me. So I searched for a peg like this and I even asked my sister (Chaka) to help me find one.
This is what she proposed:
OPTION 1: Wow... hope to wear this for real! |

Will You Be...
This is a DIY "Will you be our.." card. As the card says, our invitees dont have an option to say "no or maybe"... It's just "YES" or "OO". It may sound demanding but we already asked them ahead of time, so this card is just for formality purposes! :))
I made these through KEY NOTE app of Mac.. a counterpart of Microsoft Powerpoint. I'm so happy that it can be converted to image and a movie. It's a big savings on our budget... The photo that I've used is credited to Master Ozki, a friend of my colleague.

Our Ninong and Ninang
This is the list of people whom we trust, respect and believe that will be our guidance and counselor in our journey on marriage life.
Ninong Arnel Luanzon: This looking tough man is our Pastor here in Qatar. We do believe that through his experiences as a family man and a man of God, he'll be able to guide us whenever we need it to. |
Ninong Neil Bulaon: Ninong Neil is Khitz room mate from Dubai even here in Qatar! He's one of your brethren in JCTD. A man of God. For sure he'll be our Spiritual guide... and eating buddy too! |
Ninong Pedro Albit: He's my colleague in F+G, we called him kuya Pete in the office. A very kind hearted man who gives advises and wisdom about marriage life especially when he met Khitz. So we teased him that we will make him our ninong once we decided to get married and we started to call him "Ninong" from then on. |
Ninong Angelito Suarez Santos: He's bhabha's besfriend's hubby. You're not wrong of thinking of he looked so young to be a ninong for a wedding. For a very short time that I able to meet him (2 days? hehehe) I know that he can handle the responsibility as a godfather to us. He started it by helping us in our marriage license documents. :)) |
Ninong Tareq Chebab: He's my colleague at Atkins-CPO. He's very close and has a heart to Pinoy mafia. |
|
Ninong Boyet and Ninang Eva Gaela: We've met them way back in Dubai and they are considered by many singles in DXB as 2nd parents - we're one of them. Valuable advices about marriage and how to work on it will surely flow from them. They already trained us in Dubai! hahaha! |
Ninang Janet Arcilla: Ninang Janet is my colleague in F+G Abu Dhabi. She'll be the youngest on our principal sponsor. At first she refused to be our ninang and said that she's still young to be ninang. But I told her that it doesn't matter... as long as I can ask her one sack of rice if we need it badly! hahahah! |
Ninang Vangie Pineda: Ninang Vangie is one of our Pastora in JCTD, annointed in praise and worship. Khitz told me before that she considered her as his second mom... which is true, not only to him, but to all of us in the JCTD family. |
Ninang Hermilinda Arcilla: Ninang Hermilinda is Khitz's friend's mother, whose very close to him and like a 2nd mother as well. |
Ninang Emma Pornasdoro: She's my aunt - Mom's sisterette. Another 2nd mom! |
Ninang Criselda Bulaon: She's a loving wife of Ninong Neil. :) |

Our Story
Ganto kami kakulit! |
We're not childhood sweetheart,
We're not neighbors,
We're not classmate or schoolmate in kinder, elementary, high school or college,
We're not friends, we don't even have common friends..
We simply don't know each other.
Through God's perfect timing, we'd met in JCTD church in Dubai, UAE.... and our story started..

The Proposal
February 27, 2012... it's a special day.. it's my birthday!
That's what I thought. But bhabha, made it more special when he proposed (indirectly) after our dinner.
Actually the first surprise was the restaurant. He knew that I'd been looking for a japanese resto where we can eat sushi, maki, tempura..etc. Way back in Dubai, Sumo is our favorite hub for arigato foods... but unfortunately they don't have branch here in Qatar.
He invited my bff Ryan Lloyd and his rumor "girlfriend" Rubbie (they're not admitting it yet to the public that time.... showbizzz?? wahahahah!). The place (Oishi Sushi) was nice and cozy. We were in a private room and we're teasing each other that we should dress up, because we're all in casual attire.
The food... the foods were great! And so the dessert! When the staff served the oishi split (fried banana with hagen daz ice cream) and crepes, he personally gave it to me. I didn't mean anything to that. But Khitz took it and insisted me to get it. I almost pissed off and said " bakit hindi ikaw ang unang kumuha eh hawak mo na?" And then suddenly... there's something on top that shined. I can't say anything but I laughed so hard to cover my excitement! :P
and there you go... we're engaged!

Down the Street
We went out last Friday night to join the last day of DSF (dubai shopping festival) and we wanted to watch the fire works. We moved from pastoral house at 8:00 pm and stucked in the traffic for 45 minutes so we derouted and parked somewhere far from the Bur Dubai creek. Its cool and freezing night so we dont mind if we have to walk half kilometer. We are actually in 3 groups. When we reached the creek, the 2 groups were not there.. They're on the other side! And we thought we missed the fireworks... 'twas not really happened! (we came to know next morning).
There were lot of people and open kiosks.. Good and not so good stuffs, street foods. There was an ice cream too! (brrrr!)
We have a little girl in the group (my niece Pepai) and she was delighted to be our photographer. :D

Gala mode with Charms and Jo :)
Seemed like not enough, we decided to continue the bonding time after the service. We went down to Dubai outlet mall and Global village. Unluckily, my phone batt drained off so we had just few pics. Hope to get the other shots from Pepai's iphone.
Charms, Me & Joan @ Tim Hortons Dubai Outlet Mall |
I had fun time with sissy Charm(ing) and sissy Joan(ing) last Friday, Jan 27. Actually, it was started on thursday evening, when we slept over at Charm's place in Mussafah. We had so much chikaness and ha-ha-ha moments whilst preparing for our lunch after the worship service.
